ST. MARYS — A St. Marys man is facing several drug-related charges following an accident Monday morning in St. Marys.
According to St. Marys City police, Jacob A. Morroni, 33, of St. Marys, is charged with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony; criminal use of a communication facility, a third-degree felony; three counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count each of possession of a small amount of marijuana for personal use, possession of drug paraphernalia and DUI-controlled substance, misdemeanors; and a summary count of reckless driving.
Police said a field sobriety test and vehicle search were conducted after a one-vehicle crash at 6:30 a.m. Monday in the 600 block of Washington Street. Several porches and gas meters of an apartment building were significantly damaged, police said.
Morroni was committed to Elk County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for June 30.
