The total number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Pennsylvania reached 81,730 on Sunday, when the state Department of Health reported an additional 464 cases.
That total includes 79,405 confirmed cases and 2,325 probable cases. The number of deaths went up by four, bringing the total to 6,423 statewide.
The number of people who have tested negative statewide for COVID-19 is 576,015 .
In the local area, the department reported a total of 14 cases in McKean County, 10 confirmed cases and 4 probable; in Potter, 13 total, 10 confirmed and 3 probable; in Elk, 8 total, 5 confirmed and 3 probable; and in Cameron, 2 total, 2 confirmed.
Of the 20,113 positive cases among residents and staff of nursing and personal care homes, none were at homes in the local area.
Most of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties are in the green phase, and those that are not are in the yellow phase. No counties remain in the red phase.
Mask wearing is required in all businesses statewide, according to the Department of Health.
Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine reminded Pennsylvanians to continue taking precautions against spreading the virus, even in green counties.
“Each of us has a responsibility to continue to protect ourselves, our loved ones and others by wearing a mask, maintaining social distancing and washing our hands frequently,” Levine said. “Together we can protect our most vulnerable Pennsylvanians, our essential workers and our healthcare system.”
