A St. Marys man was arrested over the weekend on allegations that he robbed a grocery store in St. Marys in November.
According to St. Marys City Police, officers from the departments arrested Adam Ross Curci, 32, on Saturday.
Court records state that Curci is charged with robbery-threat of immediate serious bodily injury, a first-degree felony; robbery-inflict threat of immediate bodily injury, a second-degree felony; simple assault and recklessly endangering another person, second-degree misdemeanors.
Police said that Curci was involved in a robbery on Nov. 27 at Johnson’s Grocery Store, which is located at 343 S. Michael St. Officials indicated that Curci was armed but did not provide further details about the alleged robbery.
WJAC interviewed the store owner in November and reported that a man threatened the owner with a pocket knife, but left empty-handed.
Curci was arraigned this weekend before District Judge James Martin and committed to Elk County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail, according to police. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 30 before District Judge Mark Jacob.
No attorney is listed for Curci in the case docket.
