KANE — A Mount Jewett man will face 25 charges relating to child pornography in McKean County Court, after all counts against him were bound over by District Judge David Engman on Monday.
Dustin T. Sherwood, 25, of 57 E. Main St., Mount Jewett is facing six counts of photographing/videotaping/depicting on computer/filming sexual acts, four counts of disseminate explicit sexual materials to minors and one count each of of solicitation-photographing/videotaping/depicting on computer/filming sexual acts and sexual abuse of children, all second-degree felonies; six counts of child pornography, two counts of unlawful contact with a minor and one count of corruption of minors, third-degree felonies; one count each of indecent assault of a person less than 13, endangering the welfare of a child and corruption of minors, first-degree misdemeanors; and one count of indecent assault of a person less than 16, a second-degree misdemeanor.
According to the criminal complaint against him, Sherwood had created a Facebook account using the name “James Xian.” He sent “extremely explicit” messages to an 13-year-old female asking for photographs of her “bad spot.” He also allegedly asked for a video of the girl and her 8-year-old friend.
Additionally, investigators found images of male genitalia that Sherwood sent to the girl through Facebook, court records indicated.
Sherwood remains in McKean County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
