EMPORIUM — Kayakers found the body of a North Carolina man Wednesday in the Stevenson Dam Reservoir in Sinnemahoning State Park, Grove Township.
Richard Joseph Zemencik, 75, of Pinehurst, N.C., was discovered to be deceased within the reservoir, according to Emporium-based state police. Police listed the location as being in the area of Park Drive, about 0.3 miles north of the boat launch area.
The investigation continues, but police said no foul play is suspected.
Assisting state police at the scene were the Sinnemahoning and Austin fire departments, Mountaineer Search and Rescue, the Cameron County Emergency Management Agency, Sinnemahoning State Park management and the Cameron County Coroner’s Office.
