ST. MARYS — A woman died in a Ridgway house fire Sunday night, Elk County Coroner Michelle A. Muccio reported on Tuesday.
Michelle A. Counseller, 59, died in the fire, said Muccio, who pronounced Counseller dead at the scene.
According to the coroner, the fire started at 7:58 p.m. at 257 Grove Ave.
“The cause of death was smoke inhalation due to a house fire, manner of death is accidental,” Muccio stated.
Assisting on scene were the Ridgway Borough Police, the Ridgway Fire Department, Ridgway Ambulance and a Ridgway-based state police fire marshal.
