The United Way of the Bradford Area, Inc. announced that Caleb Nuzzo is the 2019-2020 Student Ambassador Scholarship recipient in the amount of $500.
Nuzzo plans to attend Slippery Rock University with an intended major of Exercise Science in the pursuit of earning a doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Along with his volunteerism for the United Way of the Bradford Area Inc., Caleb, son of Jason and Lori Nuzzo of Bradford, is an active member of Believer’s Chapel, has volunteered with the Boys Youth Basketball League, Little League Baseball, Special Olympics, the Italian Festival, the “Walk a Mile In Her Shoes” campaign as well as the Bradford Manor.
In addition to this, Nuzzo, a three-sport athlete and high honor roll student, is a member of BASD Student Council, Key Club, National Honor Society, SeAL Challenge Helper and peer tutor.
The United Way of the Bradford Area, Inc. Student Ambassador Scholarship is awarded to a Bradford Area High School senior who has exemplified the values of philanthropy through his or her community involvement, participation with the UWBA organization and an essay portraying the applicants views on why giving back to their community is important.
