RIDGWAY — North Central Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission (NCPRPDC) will host a virtual meeting at 7 p.m. June 18 for the public to review and comment on the region’s Coordinated Public Transit – Human Services Transportation Plan (Coordinated Plan).
To participate, the public can register now through the Coordinated Plan Virtual Public Meeting website or at https://bit.ly/2Wk1HwG. As an incentive, attendees will be entered in a drawing for five $50 gift cards.
The Coordinated Plan virtual meeting will serve as a forum to users of transit and human services, particularly senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and those with no access to a vehicle, to voice their experiences and concerns about regional public transit.
Perhaps the most critical component of the Coordinated Plan is public involvement, which can ensure that the plan is designed by, and benefits, those that need and use public transportation.
“This is the public’s opportunity to shape and develop the North Central region’s future transportation plan,” explained Bert Lahrman, NCPRPDC’s Transportation Coordinator. “The public’s feedback helps us to set the direction to improve regional public transportation options and improve mobility for those most dependent on transit services.”
In addition to providing input during the Coordinated Plan virtual meeting, the public can fill out an online comment form at https://north-central-public-meeting-northcentral-hub.hub.arcgis.com/ or request a paper copy by contacting Morgan Ruziecki by email at Morgan.Ruziecki@mbakerintl.com or by mail at 4431 N. Front Street, 2nd Floor, Harrisburg, PA 17110-1709. All public comments should be submitted before June 12.
This meeting is accessible to persons with disabilities and will feature closed captioning and live translation services. Anyone requiring special assistance should contact Jamie Arehart at 717-644-3500
