RIDGWAY — Pennsylvania State Police made a pair of arrests related to an alleged Monday morning shooting in Ridgway Township.
According to a press release from Ridgway-based state police, at 6:24 a.m. on Monday, police were dispatched to 61 Illinois Street in Ridgway Township for a report of a man being shot.
The release stated that Rachel Chanelle Fleeger, a 42-year-old Oil City resident, told police that she and her ex-boyfriend, Jayson Matthew Redmond, a 34-year-old Ridgway resident, had gotten into an argument at about 1 o’clock that morning.
According to the release, a physical struggle ensued and a Glock 9mm was produced and two shots were fired. As a result, Redmond suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Both Redmond and Fleeger were taken into custody, arraigned and remanded to the Elk County jail awaiting a preliminary hearing.
