EMPORIUM — Emporium-based state police seeking information on an object that was turned in to the barracks that had a note relating to a 1994 death.
According to police, at 2:20 p.m. Tuesday, someone turned in a pair of helium balloons with a note attached to the ribbon on one balloon. The balloon was found on Beechwood Road in Shippen Township.
The note refers to the anniversary of the death of the author’s father and mentions a crime that may have occurred, police reported. The note indicates that the death occurred in 1994.
Police did not release the names of the author or anyone else involved.
