RIDGWAY — A Johnsonburg man was killed in a head-on collision on U.S. Route 219 at about 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Donald Doyle II, of 424 Water Street, Johnsonburg, was reported dead at the scene, according to Elk County Coroner Michelle A. Muccio. The cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries and the manner of death has been ruled accidental.
Muccio said a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado being driven by Doyle was traveling northbound on Route 219 when it crossed the center lane on the bypass, striking another vehicle head-on.
Doyle was pronounced dead at the scene by Muccio at 8:07 p.m.
Ridgway-based state police have yet to release any information about the accident.
