COVID-19 MUSIC PREFERENCE: Music soothes the soul, and for some of us the lockdown to reduce spread of COVID-19 means a lot of soothing is needed. Onbuy.com completed a study of people who are turning to music while they stare at the walls at home.
The study used Spotify playlists, taking note of 500 playlists and what songs topped the charts as most popular choices on those lists.
The most popular songs during the Coronavirus quarantine are as follows:
Toxic by Brittany Spears appeared on 95 playlists, showing a strong preference for this song, followed closely by Stayin’ Alive by the Bee Gees (87 playlists); U Can’t Touch This by MC Hammer (85 playlists); Don’t Stand So Close to Me by The Police (83 playlists) and I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor (75 playlists) made up the top 5 songs found on the playlists that were studied.
Other fun songs that appeared a lot included:
Work from Home by Fifth Harmony and Ty Dolla $ign (67 playlists); Harder to Breathe by Maroon 5 (60 playlists); Down with the Sickness by Disturbed (55 playlists); I Feel it Coming by The Weekend and Daft Punk (53 playlists) and Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen (52 playlists).

PATIENCE: It may not feel like it, but Pennsylvanians have apparently been found to be the most patient when it comes to handling this lockdown. According to a study by EveryDayCarry.com, while 40 % of Pa. households report they are not prepared for this type of emergency lockdown, a survey of 3,250 households found that Pennsylvanians were prepared to stay home for 11.2 weeks to help reduce risk of Coronavirus spread.
Meanwhile, the national average came out to just 11 weeks, making Pennsylvanians a bit more patient than their counterparts. On the contrary, West Virginians aren’t about to put up with a long stretch at home, as those surveyed said they could only wait five weeks in lockdown.
