The Pennsylvania Tourism Office, along with the Allegheny National Forest Visitors Bureau, has announced the launch of the new Tourism Business Marketing Academy, which will be offered at no cost to local tourism businesses to assist in the recovery process as businesses reopen following closings due to COVID-19.
The Tourism Business Marketing Academy is an online platform covering best practices to improve your business’s presence in Google, Yelp, TripAdvisor and more. With the recent events of COVID-19, it is more important than ever that businesses have access to manage their business profiles to utilize all of the resources they have available.
The Tourism Business Marketing Academy can assist businesses in learning how to utilize Google posts, update hours of operation, and modify service offerings at business locations as well as many other best practices surrounding the current circumstances within local communities.
This training will offer a variety of articles and videos which are designed to help businesses improve the visibility of their business online and generate more business. A broad range of subjects from helping a business figure out how to claim their business on Google, how to update the phone number that shows up for their business on Google search, creating content, to best practices for responding to reviews on TripAdvisor.
An educational webinar will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday regarding the Tourism Business Marketing Academy.
