Other ideas for stress relief: Here are a few more ways to deal with stress while we are under a stay at home order through the month of April:
Cut back on caffeine — for those who aren’t heading out to work but haven’t cut back on the multiple cups of coffee in a day, you may notice you feel jittery or very anxious. While this situation heightens anxiety, your coffee intake may also be contributing. Consider cutting out one cup a day and see if that makes a difference.
Chew gum — studies have shown that people who chew one stick of gum per day have a greater sense of wellbeing and lower stress levels. If you have a supply of gum at home and are finding you are stressed, put a piece of gum in your mouth.
Laugh — all too often in stressful situations, things stay serious. If you and the family are finding you spend a lot of time annoyed, try turning on a comedy or finding YouTube videos of spectacular fails.
