The Penn State Extension invites the public to discuss ways to cope with the new day-to-day challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic with the “Helping Children through the Disruption” live webinar.
Participants will be given ideas on how to keep children busy and learning through this time. The webinar will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. May 12.
The registration deadline is May 12, and people can learn more about it at https://extension.psu.edu/helping-children-through-the-disruption
Parents of children of any age can join the webinar to learn strategies for how families can cope while sheltering-in-place, gain new ideas for activities to do with children, get questions answered and share ideas, and explore resources for parents.
Though not required, participants should have the following materials on hand to participate in the hands-on activity portion of the webinar: bubbles, poster paint, canvas or construction paper, craft sticks, rubber bands and a plastic spoon.
