A Coudersport man was sentenced in McKean County Court for allegations that he fled from law enforcement officials in July.
According to court records, Ellis Z. Ott, 33, was sentenced Tuesday to six to 18 months in McKean County Jail for charges of fleeing or attempting to elude and officer, DUI-controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana for personal use and a summary charge.
Ott pleaded guilty to the charges on March 12.
He entered the plea to allegations that on July 29, he drove on Two Mile Road and Route 155 in McKean County while under the influence of substances including methamphetamine, marijuana and buprenorphine. He failed to stop for police who tried to pull him over. Also, he possessed less than 30 grams of marijuana.
Court records filed at the time of his arrest alleged that on the above date, police were trying to apprehend Ott, along with Kacie M. Butler, 29, who were trying to flee the state. They were facing drug charges in Potter County.
Court records indicate that Ott has two pending cases in Potter County. Meanwhile, Butler is currently serving a term in state prison for five Potter County cases.
She is scheduled to appear for a last-day-to-plea hearing June 4 in McKean County for flight to avoid apprehension and drug charges.
On Thursday, two men were sentenced for DUI allegations in McKean County Court.
Jason E. Wehler, 42, of Kersey, will serve eight months of probation with a term of restrictive sanctions house arrest for charges of DUI-controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Charles M. Johnson Jr., 22, of Bradford, will serve six months of probation for a charge of DUI-general impairment and a summary charge.
