OLEAN, N.Y. — The officials at Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce have scheduled the community-wide garage sale for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 20.
The tentative date for COVID19 restrictions to be lifted is May 15, which is actually the day before the original 2020 Garage Sale Days date.
Chamber staff has been in touch with the Cattaraugus County Health Department on any event restrictions post COVID-19. At this point, any additional rules governing events have not been set. There is the assumption that guidelines/restrictions may be enrolled after the May 15 lifting date.
For anyone who is interested in holding a garage sale at their home, they need to register their address with the chamber and will be placed on the garage sale map for a $5 fee. Chamber officials encourage signup to be completed after May 15 once it is confirmed that the event can proceed. The chamber will need addresses, and a short list of items the homes would be selling.
Deadline to enter is at noon on June 17. Maps depicting the locations of the garage sales will be available for free June 19 and also will be handed out from the chamber office on the morning of the sales, beginning at 7 a.m. Mail or drop off garage sale information to GOACC, 301 North Union Street, fax information to 716-372-7912, or email to info@oleanny.com.
