WARREN — The USDA Forest Service confirms the death of 58-year-old Cynthia A. Peterson on April 20 at Webbs Ferry Boat Landing in the Allegheny National Forest.

A preliminary investigation conducted by USDA Forest Service Law Enforcement and Investigations in cooperation with the Pennsylvania State Police, Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Warren Police Department, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Cattaraugus County (N.Y.) Sheriff’s Office and Chautauqua County (N.Y.) Sheriff’s Office indicates that this incident was an accident.

This case is still pending further investigation.
