An Olean, N.Y., woman is facing burglary charges after allegedly entering her ex-boyfriend’s home and causing damage.
Starlite N. Parker, 25, of 316 Main St., Olean, was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge William Todd on charges of burglary, a first-degree felony; criminal trespass, a third-degree felony; loitering and prowling at night time, defiant trespass, two count of criminal mischief, third-degree misdemeanors; and a summary charge of criminal trespass.
According to the criminal complaint, around 11:30 p.m. on March 2, Parker contacted her ex-boyfriend and said she was coming to his Artline Road, Eldred, home. He told her that he did not wish to see her and she was not allowed to come over.
He was not home at the time, and while he was on his way home, a friend of his contacted him to let him know he saw Parker in the driveway, the complaint stated. Parker allegedly walked over to the friend’s vehicle, began yelling and struck the vehicle with her hands.
She left the scene at that time; however, court records indicate that before her interaction with the friend, she entered the home, broke several personal items belonging to her ex-boyfriend and left them scattered inside. Also, she allegedly wrote messages with a black marker on his living room walls.
A short time later, Parker’s sister sent a message to the ex-boyfriend on Facebook saying that Parker would pay him $100 and pay for paint to fix the walls if he did not press charges, according to the complaint.
Parker was released on $5,000 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing is set for June 1.
