RIDGWAY — Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the Pennsylvania State Police have been forced to make the unprecedented decision to cancel the 2020 Troop C, Camp Cadet and Sunny Day Camp Programs that would have taken place this year.
The camps will not be rescheduled for this calendar year, but police anticipate returning to a normal camp schedule in 2021.
Because the Covid-19 Pandemic is beyond anyone’s control, staff have already made arrangements to accept 15-year-old youths to the 2021 Troop C, Camp Cadet Program. This change will enable campers who are currently at the normal cut-off age of 14 to attend the camp next summer.
Current applicants will have their Camp Cadet registration fee reimbursed.
In closing, police said they appreciate the continued interest in the camp programs and apologize for any inconvenience these cancellations may have caused.
