WARREN — Dr. Linda M. Fleming, vice-president of academic and student affairs at the Northern Pennsylvania Regional College (NPRC), was one of two experts who participated in a national video roundtable on April 15 titled “From Crisis to Opportunity: Technology’s Turning Point in Higher Ed Student Communications.”
During the virtual roundtable, sponsored by AtlasRTX, Fleming and Dan Gaines, associate director of marketing at Purdue University Krannert School of Management, discussed how institutions of higher education could implement immediate changes to help communicate more efficiently and effectively to current and prospective students. They also discussed
digital solutions to set institutions up for long-term success.
“I was honored to have been asked to take part in this roundtable discussion,” said Fleming. She added, “Higher education establishments are confronting an unprecedented shift toward virtual communications, not merely for teaching, but enrollment, recruitment, student support, and day-to-day business operations. NPRC is working very hard to stay at the forefront of this shift using technology to provide access to higher education and workforce development training to the residents of our nine-county service area. I am thrilled that peer institutions from around the world are taking note of the great work being done at NPRC.”
