Criminal charges against a Kane woman accused of running another woman over were bound to McKean County Court at a preliminary hearing Monday before District Judge David Engman.
Devon J. Hulings, 29, is charged with, aggravated assault, causes bodily injury with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony; aggravated assault by vehicle and accidents involving death or personal injury, third-degree felonies; simple assault and recklessly endangering another person, second-degree misdemeanors; and the following summary charges: harassment, criminal mischief, careless driving, failure to notify police of accident with injury or death, reckless driving and failure to story and give information or render aid.
According to the criminal complaint, on April 10 in front of a home at 68 Church St., Hamilton Township, Hulings fought with another woman, got in her truck and drove away, running over the other woman.
Hulings did not stop after she hit the woman, court records stated.
In a subsequent interview with Lewis Run-based state police, Hulings said the woman was hitting the front of her truck when she got in, drove away and struck her with the truck, according to the complaint. Hulings allegedly admitted that she knew she ran over the woman but failed to stop.
The alleged victim was transported by medical helicopter to UPMC Hamot in Erie for treatment of serious injuries, court records stated.
Hulings is in McKean County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
