ST. MARYS — Two people suffered minor injuries when their St. Marys residence caught fire around midday on Thursday.
Charles and Constance Amendola of St. Marys were treated and released from Penn Highlands Elk for minor injuries, according to Ridgway-based state police.
Police said that at 12:33 p.m. Thursday at 635 Virginia Road, the pair was home when an accidental fire broke out.
State police fire marshal Cpl. Greg Agosti and the Crystal Fire Department investigated the origin and cause of the fire. Damage is estimated at $400,000, police said.
The American Red Cross assisted the Amendolas.
