As BCPAC has continued to monitor this unprecedented and rapidly-changing situation around the Coronavirus, and with the closure of the public schools for the remainder of the school year, the Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s 26th Anniversary of the Missoula Children’s Theater Workshop “Sleeping Beauty.”
Officials issued a release announcing the change, stating “It is with heavy hearts that we are cancelling this event, but keeping students and their families safe is always a top priority for BCPAC, and we want you to know this decision was not made lightly.
“We will be working diligently to schedule next year’s summer workshop with our friends from MCT. We appreciate your understanding during this time and are grateful for your support of this annual event.”
BCPAC stated they hope to offer some sort of virtual programming over the summer to keep students in practice and to provide an educational and entertaining performing arts experience. Check the website and FB page for updates.
The release concludes, “We look forward to serving everyone again soon and getting back into the business of bringing the community together through the arts. Stay healthy and be safe!”
