OLEAN, N.Y. — In order to comply with the directive of Gov. Andrew Cuomo banning large gatherings due to the coronavirus pandemic and to protect the health and wellbeing of the public, the Archbishop Walsh St. Patrick’s Day Party and Raffle has been canceled.
In March, organizers had hoped that the coronavirus situation would have improved enough by now to allow it go forward. However, that will not be the case.
While the party will not be happening, the raffle will continue as scheduled. The raffle prizes will be drawn on the evening of April 25. The prizes will be awarded in the amounts advertised and the drawing will be live on Archbishop Walsh Academy’s Facebook page. The winners will also be listed on the Walsh website at www.stcswalsh.org.
The St. Patrick’s Day Raffle includes a chance to win the grand prize of $20,000. Other cash prizes include $5,000, $2,500, (2) $1,000, (5) $500, and (10) $200. A total of $34,000 in cash prizes will be awarded, and there is still time to get tickets.
Raffle tickets remain on sale and can be purchased online at https://www.stcswalsh.org until noon on April 25.
