RIDGWAY — Four people were arrested on drug charges after Ridgway-based police responded to a report of shots fired from a 2001 Cadillac DeVille in Fox Township.
According to police, at 1:34 p.m. Saturday, they were dispatched to Gardner Hill Road, where they determined that a motorist, Jeremiah Deemer, 22, of Kersey, had taken multiple shots into the woods with a .22 pistol. Police reported that Deemer, who did not have a conceal carry permit, was driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possessed suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
During a subsequent pat-down, police found the pistol concealed in the appendix area of a passenger, Darelle Close, 33, of Ridgway. Close did not have a license to carry the pistol, police stated.
According to police, two other passengers — Vinnie Allegretto, 25, of Kersey, and Courtney Daniels, 24, of Emporium — possessed drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Charges against all four will be filed through the office of District Judge Mark Jacob, police reported.
