RIDGWAY — A fire that destroyed a Ridgway Borough home on Sunday has been ruled accidental.
According to Ridgway-based state police, a fire started at 2 p.m. Sunday at 440 Rock St., Ridgway, destroying the two-story, single-family house and causing an estimated $150,000 in damage. The victims do not have insurance.
No one was injured, police said.
State police fire marshall Trooper Russell Stewart and the Ridgway Fire Department investigated the fire and determined the fire originated on the home’s exterior and was accidental in nature.
Police identified the victims as John Mitchell, 23, Jasmin Carlson, 22, and a 9-month-old boy, all of Ridgway.
