The Friendship Table will be serving one hot meal per day from 3 to 5 p.m.
According to Joe Doriguzzi, assistant manager at the Friendship Table, the change is an effort to address concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic and also to cut down on the number of volunteers needed.
Doriguzzi noted that those who come for the hot meal can take a bagged meal for breakfast at that time as well.
“We have been busy,” Doriguzzi noted. “We thank everyone for their monetary and canned goods, food donations. We appreciate everything.”
For anyone looking to help during these difficult times, the Friendship Table accepts donations and is always grateful to receive canned vegetables, canned tomato sauce and canned spaghetti sauce, as well as cans of baked beans.
