PORT ALLEGANY — The S.W. Smith Memorial Public Library is asking patrons to temporarily hold donations of books, magazines, puzzles or other materials until the library reopens.

Because the library is closed, there is not staff onhand to sort the materials. The book drop needs to be kept clear for returned library materials. Do not leave donations outside the library.

Additionally, paper and cardboard materials need to be quarantined for 24-48 hours before they are placed into circulation. Call or email the library when it reopens to ask when they will begin accepting donated books, magazines, and puzzles again: 642-9210 or swsmith@swsmithlibrary.org.
