In order to protect the safety of staff and the community and promote social distance amongst the COVID-10 pandemic, the Bradford Area School District announced it will be altering the pre-packaged lunch and breakfast distribution schedule.
Effective immediately, distribution days will now be held from 11 a.m. until noon on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Students will receive 2 breakfasts and 2 lunches on Mondays and Wednesdays and 3 breakfasts and lunches for the weekend on Fridays.
“We want to do this as long as we can, without compromising the safety of our staff and the students,” noted Katy Pude, BASD superintendent.
Staff will continue to run “drive through” locations at George G. Blaisdell Elementary School, and the fire departments at Derrick City, Rew, Lafayette Township, Lewis Run, Corydon Township and at Bradford Township’s West Washington Street and Custer City locations; as well as Stoney Hollow on Barbour Street.
Families will need to have the students with them in order to give the school district an accurate count of which children were served.
