A Ridgway man has been accused of committing indecent assault against a youth in McKean County.
Clifford C. Carpenter, 50, of 9 S. Mill Ave., Apt. 20, Ridgway, was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge Dominic Cercone on charges of corruption of minors, a third-degree felony; and two counts each of indecent assault without consent and indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age, all second-degree misdemeanors.
According to the criminal complaint, between Jan. 31 and Feb. 2, in Mount Jewett Borough and Hamlin Township, Carpenter touched private areas of a 13-year-old girl outside of her clothing. At one point, he allegedly told her he was going to take her “parking,” and explained that parking is “s.e.x.”
Carpenter is in McKean County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail. A Central Court appearance is set for March 23.
