Ludlow man accused of stealing more than $5k

A Ludlow man is facing criminal allegations that he stole more than $5,000 from a cabin in Wetmore Township.

Michael A. Snyder, 32, of 7 S. Hillside Ave., Ludlow, was arraigned Saturday before District Judge Dominic Cercone on charges of burglary, a first-degree felony; theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, second-degree felonies.

According to court records, between Jan. 3 and Jan. 5, Snyder entered a cabin on Getaway Lane, Wetmore Township, and took about $5,400 in cash.

On Feb. 10, a Lewis Run-based state trooper interviewed Snyder. During the interview, Snyder admitted to entering the cabin and taking about $5,000, the complaint stated.

Snyder is in McKean County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Thursday.

Port Allegany man jailed on threat allegations

A Port Allegany man is in McKean County Jail after he allegedly threatened to shoot three people.

Justin M. Gordon, 33, of 37 E. Ransome St., Port Allegany, was arraigned early Friday morning before District Judge Richard Luther on three counts of terroristic threats, first-degree misdemeanors; one count of simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor; and three counts of harassment, third-degree misdemeanors.

The criminal complaint states that Gordon returned home around 2 a.m. Friday after he had been drinking alcohol, and he asked a female where his pistol was because “he wanted to end things and told her he wanted to make everyone pay and was gonna shoot the kids and make her suffer.”

Gordon continued to ask her about the pistol and threatened to “choke” the information “out of her,” the complaint stated. The home’s occupants fled through the window to get away from him, records indicated.

He is in jail in lieu of $40,000, and he is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Thursday.
