Historic Downtown Bradford will again host a two-week long “Quilt Hunt,” taking place from Saturday until March 28.
This hunt, in honor of March being National Quilt Month, gives participants the opportunity to travel from shop to shop in search of 15 beautifully crafted quilts. The locations with quilts are: Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce, Bradford Chocolate Factory, CNB (Main Street Location), Country Charm, Graham Florist, Julie’s Ever After, Little Fabric Garden, Main Street Mercantile, Man’s World, Michelle’s Flair for Hair, Moments to Remember, Northwest Bank (Main Street Location), On The Side Books, Ott & McHenry and the Tin Ceiling Gift Shoppe.
“It is a springtime tradition in many areas for quilters to hang out or display their quilts in order to “air them out after winter,” said event coordinator and owner of the Little Fabric Garden, Judy Brown. “While we won’t be placing our quilts outside, they will be “aired out” in various shops in our downtown for all to enjoy.”
Quilt hunters can pick up a Quilt Hunt Card at any participating location beginning Saturday, and will have two weeks to find all of the quilts. The Quilt Hunt Cards will have a photo of each quilt participants will be searching for, and participants must write in the shop in which they find each quilt. All completed cards must be returned to the Little Fabric Garden by March 28th to be considered for prizes.
This event is sponsored by the Downtown Bradford Business District Authority (DBBDA). The DBBDA functions as the promotions committee for the Main Street Program.
