Two Bradford Owls were named to the D9 League All-Star Team, while another received Rookie of the Year honors.
Owl seniors Tyler Gigliotti and Steven Knowlton made the All-D9 League team after putting together successful senior seasons.
During the 2019-20 season, Gigliotti (20.2 ppg) scored his 1,000th career points, while Knowlton emerged as one of Bradford’s most reliable scorers down the stretch. The Owls finished the year 12-10 overall and were the District 9 Class AAAA runners-up.
In addition, sophomore forward Cam Austin was named as the league’s Rookie of the Year. Austin had a strong start to the season and was both a consistent scoring option and rebounder before suffering a season-ending injury in January.
Others named to the D9 League All-Star Team were Brookville’s Aaron Park and Jace Miner, DuBois’ Chase Husted and Lennon Lindholm, Elk Catholic’s Regis Wortman, Carter Lindemuth and Mark Kraus and St. Marys’ Cahil Parrish.
Husted was named both MVP and Defensive Player of the Year, while ECC’s Leo Gregory was the Comeback Player of the Year.
