WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey, R-Pa., announced Monday that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has extended the application deadline for the Nonprofit Security Grant Program.
The application period will now close on April 30 at 5 p.m. ET.
This program provides funding to assist non-profit organizations, including places of worship, with preventing, protecting against, responding to, and recovering from potential terrorist attacks. Organizations applying for funding must demonstrate that they are at risk for a potential terrorist attack.
For more information, applicants should visit FEMA’s website.
Applications cannot be submitted through Toomey’s office. Toomey’s office is happy to provide letters of support to applicants once their applications have been submitted to FEMA.
