READY TO VOTE?: Are you ready for the upcoming primary election?
You still have just over a month to register to vote, if you’re not registered yet. Pennsylvania law changed recently, giving residents up until 15 days before the election. Before it was 30 days prior.
The deadline to register for the primary is April 13, and the deadline to be signed up for an absentee or mail-in ballot is 5 p.m. April 21.
This year’s Pennsylvania primary election is April 28. Polls will be open between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m., and absentee and mail-in ballots must be received by the county election office by 8 p.m. on April 28, too.
Never heard of a mail-in ballot? It’s new this year, and all Pennsylvania voters can vote by mail-in ballot if they don’t qualify to vote by absentee ballot.
If you need to register to vote, you can do so online; by mail; or in person at the county voter registration office, at the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation or at some other government offices.

You can even go to the website to find county-by-county instructions on how to use the new voting machines at the website. Yes, even the voting machines are new this year.
