Six members of Take Off Pounds Sensibly #1704 weighed in Monday night losing 8.8 pounds.
Silvana who was on a streak, coming in as the Best Loser in Waiting, the Officer of the Week and getting a full card in the BINGO game which wrapped up this week. Members voted to start a new full card BINGO game next week.
For the month of February, all group members came in with a weight loss. The chapter lost a total of 14.6 pounds. Lonnie was Queen for the month and Harold was King. For week nine of the nine-week contest, members are to weigh less than their first weigh-in of the year.
This year ARD is in Greensburg. TOPS chapters will be collecting donations for the Veterans Hospital. The following items are needed for care packages for men and women: toothbrushes, travel size toothpaste, dental floss, travel size mouthwash (non-alcoholic), toothbrush covers, razors, shaving cream, travel size shower gel, travel size lotion, deodorant, travel size soap, bath poufs, pens, puzzle books and small tissue packs. Anyone interested in donating items can drop them off Monday nights from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. in the TOPS meeting, room 206 on the second floor of the Hooker Fulton Building (rear entrance).
This week members are to steer clear of sugary cereals and try resistance training for at least two days.

SMETHPORT — The meeting of Take Off Pounds Sensibly 623 was held Tuesday evening at the East Smethport United Christian Church with 11 members weighing in.
There was a 8.2-pound loss with Marilyn as the best loser. For the “yes yes,” Marilyn chose eat more fruit.
During the meeting, the group discussed after which holidays a charm would be given for those who lost weight the first weigh-in after said holidays. They will review their by-laws in the near future. Six members will attend ARD (Western PA Area Recognition Days), which will be in Greensburg in April. The six members are looking forward to going, as they said it is always informative and fun.
This week, the program was chair dancing to the “oldies” music, led by Kathy. Members reported that it was good exercise and they burned a lot of calories.
