Winter bucket list: Unless you’re an avid skier or snowboarder, the cold, dreary months of winter can become tedious after the holiday season ends. Here are some ideas for a “bucket list” to give you something to look forward to in the upcoming months. Feel free to personalize and create your own!
-Volunteer at a homeless shelter/food kitchen.
-Go ice skating or sledding.
-Go to a senior home and “adopt” a resident who may not have family to come and visit.
-Write a short story.
-Bake a pie.
-Put together a puzzle (the more pieces the better!)
-Go bowling.
-Shovel a neighbor’s driveway.
-Help with a food drive.
-Create and follow an indoor workout routine.
-Take a relaxing bubble bath.
-Host a movie night for family and friends.
-Write a thank-you note to someone who deserves it.
-Clean out your closet. Donate or give away items you no longer need.
-Make a reading list and read from beginning to end.
-Start a journal.
-Have a game night with friends and family.
-Crochet or knit a scarf.
-Build a snowman.
-Plan a road trip.
-Start learning a new language.
-Learn a new recipe.
-Make your own hot chocolate.
-Go to a paint and sip night.
-Have an indoor picnic.

So Good
My friend and I went to the woods,
To pick strawberries for dessert,
We picked a lot but ate some
Although Grandma would be alert.
A hot biscuit and some fresh berries
With cold milk on the top
Oh so good tasting and so yummy,
I wish we could never stop!
Grandma also made some jam,
With the berries so very sweet,
To spread a spoonful on our bread,
Was easy and oh, so neat.
One bite here and then another,
The treat soon as gone,
The taste lingered with us
As sweet as a lullaby song.
Never to be forgotten,
Always a special treat,
The lust of wild berries
As fast as we could eat.
