The Bradford Salvation Army will be brewing up some fun at 6 p.m. this Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church, 79 Mechanic St., in an attempt to work towards its $40,000 Red Kettle Campaign goal, which according to Captain David Means Jr., fell about $9,000 short this past Christmas season.
“This is our first year hosting ‘Brewing Good’ and we are so excited to offer different types of coffee and teas and pastries to attendees,” said Means in a press release.
General admission for the event is $15, which includes samples from each vendor, including but not limited to Starbucks, Elegance in Chocolate and the Salvation Army. A variety of coffee, merchandise and food will also be available for purchase.
Pianist Jeanne Gross will be providing live music, while Chuckles from 106.3 The Mountain will be broadcasting live from the event. Door prizes will be given away.
For any vendor who would like to participate in the event, it’s not too late!
“Coffee/Tea vendors and merchants can still sign up by contacting me at David.MeansJr@use.salvationarmy.org or office number 814-368-7012. Tickets are available at the door,” noted Means.
For those interested in helping out with Brewing Good, donations of coffee, tea and pastries will be taken between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. at 111 Jackson Ave.
Funds from the event will be used to continue the ministries of the food pantry, clothing giveaway, emergency lodging, youth summer camps, Boy Scout troop and spiritual and emotional support programs The Salvation Army provides all year round.
