BROOKVILLE —Bradford couldn’t make a six-point halftime lead stand in a 52-43 D9 League loss to Brookville in the Owls’ regular season finale.
Bradford (12-10, 4-6) jumped out to a 26-20 lead at the intermission and led 32-30 entering the fourth. However, Brookville (15-7, 7-3) outpaced the Owls 22-11 in the game’s final quarter to come back for the win.
Steven Knowlton led Bradford with 21 points, while Tyler Gigliotti scored 16. It was Knowlton’s second consecutive game with at least 20 points.
Jace Miner led all scorers with 22 points for the Raiders, while Robert Keth scored 10.
Bradford will now turn its attention to the District 9 Class AAAA championship game, set for Feb. 27 at Clarion University. The Owls will face Clearfield for the third season in a row.
The Bison narrowly edged Bradford in the first two matchups by scores of 63-61 (2019) and 42-36 (2018).
