PUNXSUTAWNEY — Trailing by a point at halftime, the Lady Chucks used a 14-5 surge in the third quarter en route to a 44-37 win over Bradford in District 9 League action on Friday.
Sarah Weaver keyed Punxsutawney (18-4, 10-0) with 16 points, while Chloe Presloid added 10.
Hannah Lary knocked down three 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 22 points and Erica Marshall had 10.
The Lady Owls have given Punxsy two of its toughest league games this season, losing to the Lady Chucks 46-41 in mid-January.
“It was a hard-fought game,” Bradford head coach Bob Hannon said. “The girls battled, they just ran out of gas a little there at the end. They played as hard as they could play there; I’m proud of them for that.”said Bob Hannon, Bradford coach.
Bradford (10-11, 3-6) hosts Brookville Tuesday for its regular season finale.
