SMETHPORT — A Port Allegany man currently incarcerated for child pornography was arraigned Thursday for allegedly sexually assaulting a child at a Turtlepoint residence between 2016 and 2018.
Gage Ortiz-Rodriguez, 21, of South Main Street, is charged with one first-degree felony count of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse.
According to the criminal complaint, while a McKean County detective was interviewing a juvenile in relation to another criminal case against Ortiz-Rodriguez, the child disclosed that “he/she engaged in (a sex act) with the defendant.”
Ortiz-Rodriguez was arraigned Thursday by District Judge Bill Todd and remained incarcerated, with an additional $20,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court Feb. 20 on this charge.
