KANE — An informational event designed for parents of children who are eligible for kindergarten 2020-2021 will be held from 6-7 p.m. on Feb. 25 in the Kane Elementary Multipurpose Room.
During the “Kindergarten, Here We Come” event, an informational session will be held for parents, while the children enjoy a story and activity, followed by a meet and greet with the kindergarten teachers. A free book will be given to each kindergarten child to take home.
Kindergarten registration will be held from 4-6 p.m. on March 12 at Kane Area Elementary School. Children with the last name A-M will be registered between 4-5 p.m., while children with the last name N-Z will be registered between 5-6 p.m.
To be enrolled, a child must be five years of age on or before Aug. 31. Bring your child, along with their birth certificate, record of state-required immunizations and proof of residency (such as a deed, lease, current utility bill, current credit card bill, property tax bill, vehicle registration, driver’s license or DOT identification card).
