The theme was “Invest In Your Community” and that is exactly what many generous community members did over the last few months.
The United Way of the Bradford Area, Inc. has completed its 2019 – 2020 “Invest In Your Community” campaign, led by Christy Graham, Jennifer Fitton and Kendra Pantuso.
Executive Director Paige LaBrozzi said, “I want to thank the community for their continued support to the United Way of the Bradford Area Inc., without them our mission would not be possible. I also want to thank the campaign team, board of directors and the office staff for their dedication in making this campaign a success.”
Karen Pecht, president of the board of directors of the United Way of the Bradford Area Inc., announced the United Way will fulfill funded agencies’ requests this year in Bradford, Smethport and Port Allegany.
She said, “On behalf of the UWBA Board of Directors, we want to thank the Bradford, Smethport and Port Allegany communities for their contributions to our 2019-2020 United Way campaign(s). We had an outstanding campaign team working diligently to support our agency this year and we want to thank them all for their time and service. Our mission is important and we have a lot of agencies and programs that depend on the UWBA’s funding and it’s because of your continued generosity we are able to support their efforts.”
Funds raised through the United Way campaign provide vital resources to 26 partner agencies who are then able to carry out upwards of 40 community programs across Bradford, Smethport and Port Allegany.
Campaign chair Christy Graham said, “This was a great experience and it was an honor to help. There are so many programs that would not be possible without the funds we raise. I am grateful to live in a community that is so giving and I look forward to seeing all of the amazing things that the United Way continues to do.”
