A Bradford man is in McKean County Jail for allegedly attacking a nurse at Bradford Regional Medical Center early Thursday.
Richard Emerson Lewis, 45, of 127 Kennedy St., Apt. 1, is charged with aggravated assault, a second-degree felony; and simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor.
According to the criminal complaint, Lewis was in the psychiatric unit at BRMC when he pushed a nurse on two separate occasions. The second time, the nurse fell against a wall and onto a water fountain, causing injuries including lacerations to her face and the inside of her lip, as well as bruising on her knee.
Lewis was arraigned before on-call District Judge David Engman and remanded to jail in lieu of $20,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Feb. 13.
