SALAMANCA, N.Y. — Looking for something to do this winter? Come listen to some great music by local musicians during this Februarys “By the Fireside” concert from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Red House Administration Building Lobby at Allegany State Park.
This month’s featured performance is by Nick Kody and Lydia Herren. Influenced by a wide range of Rock, Blues, Country and Traditional Folk music, Nick Kody & Lydia Herren offer a unique and diverse interpretation of the Americana genre through both their recorded work and live performances. Both musicians are multi-instrumentalists, performing on guitar, violin, harmonica, piano and more. Vocal harmonies are very important to them and their duets provide a strong chemistry on stage. Kody & Harren’s original material is inspired heavily by roots music and they often put a distinct spin on cover songs ranging from The Beatles, The Eagles, Tom Petty, CCR, Bonnie Raitt, Britney Spears, Sublime, Taylor Swift and Chris Stapleton, just to name a few. Kody & Herren perform at breweries, restaurants, festivals, theaters and weddings.
