BROCKWAY — A second-quarter Brockway run doomed Cameron County in a 61-56 non-league loss to the Rovers on Monday night.
Cameron County (14-4) had initially jumped out to a 16-12 lead after the first quarter, but the Rovers (6-12) went on a 20-4 run in the second period to take a 32-20 advantage into halftime.
The Red Raiders clipped the deficit to just four, 39-35, entering the fourth quarter, but never managed to fully recover from the disastrous second period.
Brockway’s Alec Freemer led all scorers with 24 points, while Jon Wood (16 points) and Austin Schmader (12 points) were also in double figures.
Cameron County was paced by 23 points from Caden Beldin and 12 points from Dylan Guisto. Dino Brown (8 points) was held to fewer than 10 for the first time this season.

Cameron County 37, Johnsonburg 29
JOHNSONBURG — Kaelee Bresslin scored 16 points to power Cameron County past Johnsonburg in non-league play.
Bresslin’s 16 were a game high, and included a 3-pointer. Mikenna Farabuagh added 10 points for the Lady Red Raiders (9-11), which led 20-14 at halftime before taking a 29-16 lead into the fourth.
Kaci Stelene paced the Ramettes (2-17) with 12 points.

Ridgway 31, Smethport 10
RIDGWAY — Ridgway held Smethport scoreless through the entire first half en route to a non-league win.
The Lady Elkers (13-5) led 11-0 after the first quarter and then 16-0 at the intermission.
Smethport (9-11) got its first field goal on a Sabrina Tanner two-pointer in the third quarter, but trailed 23-3 entering the final period.
Ridgway’s Gabby Rohr led all scorers with 15 points. Nobody else in the game had more than five and neither team connected from 3-point range.
The Lady Hubbers were paced by Danielle Nelson’s four points.
