COUDERSPORT — Coudersport-based state police are investigating a report that a man tried to pull a woman through a car window Wednesday in Allegany Township, Potter County.
While a suspect has not been identified, police do not believe there is a current risk to public safety.
According to police, between 4 and 4:30 p.m. Wednesday on Rose Lake Road, a 33-year-old Coudersport woman was traveling east, when she saw a red sport utility vehicle stopped along the fence line in the road.
The woman tried to make contact with the person, when an unknown white male reached through her open car window, grabbed her and tried to pull her out, police said. She hit the gas pedal and drove away before the suspect could do anything more.
The woman suffered minor injuries, according to police.
She provided a description of the suspect to police, who are currently investigating. Anyone with information is asked to contact Coudersport-based state police at 814-274-8690.
