Seven members of Take Off Pounds Sensibly PA #1704 met Thursday night at 6:45 p.m. in the Hooker Fulton building.
All seven members came in with a loss totaling 15 pounds. Doug was the Best Loser and Denise was the Best Loser in Waiting as well as the Officer of the Week.
Lonnie led the presentation on food journaling. Tips to be successful at journaling include: Make it fun, use colored pens, stickers and washi tape to add a personal touch. She suggested that members customize their journals to their own personal needs, such as by making a section for calories or the time of day that they ate something. They don’t have to be perfect. When starting out, don’t expect being able to log all meals, and don’t feel bad missing writing down a few meals or snacks. Journaling usually takes time to become a habit. Focus on the positive.
In week four of the nine-week, contest members are to drink four servings of water for five days. This week members are to steer clear of red meat and to dry dark chocolate.
