RIDGWAY — Ridgway-based state police announced that drug charges are pending against a Byrnedale man after an overdose in Jay Township.
According to police, at 1:46 a.m. Saturday, someone had an accidental overdose at 5368 Gardner Hill Road, Jay Township. Police allege that Brett Chicola, 34, of Byrnedale, is the one who sold the drugs involved in the overdose.
Police did not say what type of drug was involved in the overdose.
State police did not release any identifying information about the person who overdosed. They also did not state the person’s condition — even to say whether or not the person survived.
Charges against Chicola are pending further investigation.
